“A new community development in Bang Krachao area” KMUTT – KIT Architectural Research and Design Workshop

KMUTT and Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT) Japan co-organized the Architectural Research and Design Workshop which aimed to give the students a chance to learn and develop their designs together.

The School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) and KIT organized the KMUTT – KIT Architectural Research and Design Workshop which was held on 11-18 September 2019 at KMUTT Knowledge Exchange for Innovation Center (KX). The workshop was led by Dr. Chamnarn Tirapas, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakol Teeravaranyou, and Mr. Ekawat Ophartpongsakorn along with 4 Japanese professors, and Master’s students and undergraduate students from the 2 institutions. The workshop consisted of research focusing on a new community development in Bang Krachao, and designing the learning center.  It aimed to develop Sri Nakhon Khuan Khan Park in Bang Krachao. Also, they surveyed the site and exchanged their ideas and perspectives to develop their designs. The international workshop has been conducted for several years and there were around 50 participants who attended it this year.
