Asia-Link Bangkok Workshop 2019, a joint workshop with partner universities

Asia-Link Bangkok Workshop 2019 was hosted by the School of Architecture and Design and co-organized by other three foreign universities having the purpose of sharing knowledge in the field of design and planning activities for future academic collaborations.

Mr. Pattarapol Chantkam (lecturer in Industrial Design Program and project leader) along with instructors of 4 universities such as Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), Japan, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), South Korea, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) provided both non-Thai and Thai participants a workshop on “Future Crafts” inspired by socio-cultural innovation. Representing each university and with their concerted efforts, the following lecturers successfully conducted and supported the collaborative workshop: (Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan) Mr. Yusuke Ashizawa, and Mr.  Kume Toshiake; (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea) Mr. Yunwoo Jeong; (Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan) Mr. Zun-Hwa Chiang and  Mr. Chao-Ming Yang; and (KMUTT) Mr. Pattarapol Chantkam, Ms. Nanthana Boonla-or and Ms. Woranooch Chuenrudeemol. The design workshop provided various opportunities for students to broaden their knowledge in design methodology and process. It was held between 27 January – 3 February 2019 at KX Building, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
