Fundamentals of Typographic Communication introduces students to the principles and practices of typography as a visual language. Through a progressive series of exercises, students explore how typographic form, spacing, hierarchy, and composition influence communication.
Throughout the semester, students explore typography as a system of visual communication, moving from the finest typographic elements toward increasingly complex compositions.
The course aims to build a strong foundation for further study in graphic design, while encouraging students to approach typographic communication with both precision and curiosity. Instructor: AJ. Geoffrey Brewerton
