CPIS Students Attend Design Innovation Workshop at SoA+D
On April 10, 2025, students from California Prep International School (CPIS) located in Saraburi participated in a Design Innovation Workshop held at the School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).
The workshop was led by Ajarn Pornthep Chatpinyakoop (our Design Innovation Lecturer) and focused on introducing students to the fundamental principles of design thinking. In addition, it addressed the timely topic of “AI for Product Design.” The session explored how AI can be used effectively to support the design process and emphasized that creative direction and conceptual thinking remain as the essential role of the designer. It also served to expose students to potential future academic and career paths in design and innovation.
As part of the event, students also had the opportunity to tour the SoA+D facilities. The tour included visits to design studios, fabrication labs, exhibition spaces, etc. The experience allowed students to observe how university-level design education operates in a professional academic setting.
This initiative is part of CPIS’s ongoing commitment to providing students with enriching, experience-based learning opportunities.
