Design x Gastronomy: Redefining Bang Khun Thian through Creative Innovation
What happens when the art of design meets the soul of local cuisine?
We are excited to introduce the “Action Research in Bang Khun Thian” project, a core part of the CMD 315: Communication with Form and Space course. This initiative explores the intersection of design and gastronomy, using creative research to bridge the gap between local community identity and modern spatial communication.
Project highlights include:
Action Research: In-depth field studies exploring the unique essence of the Bang Khun Thian district
Form & Space: Transforming cultural storytelling into tangible sensory experiences
Community Impact: Enhancing the value of local resources through innovative design solutions
This project allows students to push the boundaries of “Gastronomy” by designing not just a meal, but a meaningful journey that connects people to the environment and the community itself.
Location: Bang Khun Thian District / [Insert Specific Venue] Timeline: January – May 2026
