2026 Designing Resilience Global Competition and Symposium in Guangzhou, CHINA
SoA+D’s fourth-year Architecture students, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Martin Schoch (Asst. Dean for Internationalization and ARC Lecturer), attended the Design Resilience Global 2026, from 2-10 July 2026 in Guangzhou, China, with the theme, “Resilience Beyond Control: Negotiating Water, Climate, and Urban Life along the Vishwamitri River in India”
The program was organized by SCUT in Guangzhou, China. Eventually, our students were honored to attend and compete in this program alongside architecture students from around the world. During the event, they attended inspiring lectures delivered by distinguished international professors, who shared insights and varied perspectives in their respective fields.
The immersive experience provided students with significant exposure to international design practices, promoting their academic and personal growth. The competition’s focus on resilience directly supported KMUTT’s strategic emphasis on sustainability and innovation in architecture.
