KMUTT opens Banchang Learning Innovation Center

Through the concerted effort of the School of Architecture and Design of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, in collaboration with National Innovation Agency (NIA), Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and Ban Chang Municipality in Rayong province, Banchang Learning Innovation Center (BLIC) was officially opened on the 15th of September 2020, focusing on the concept of innovative living and learning. BLIC aims to develop Ban Chang into becoming a livable city in the future and support the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) development plan of Thailand.

Deputy Governor of Rayong province, Acting Sub Lt. Phirun Haemarak headed the opening ceremony of Banchang Learning Innovation Center (BLIC), and Mr. Michael Paripol Tangtrongchit, SoA+D’s Dean, also conveyed his opening remarks during the occasion. Aiming to push innovative knowledge in developing Ban Chang as a livable city in the future, Banchang Learning Innovation Centeris a collaborative project of KMUTT, NIA (public organization), GISTDA (public organization) and Ban Chang Municipality, Rayong province. During the opening ceremony, there was an exhibition “พรุ่งนี้ที่บ้านฉาง Imaginative for the Future”, which was largely participated by the local authorities, students, communities and private sectors.
