This is a critical study of conservation, heritage and culture, revolving around “What is this place worth — and to whom?” This programme trains you to locate the gap between how theories, policies, and regulation frameworks define value and how communities actually live it. Through field-based inquiry, critical framework analysis, and reflective methodology, you develop a way of seeing that applies wherever official knowledge and community knowledge meet around contested questions of place, culture, and stewardship. Architects, cultural workers, local government officers, and policy practitioners study together — bringing different built-worlds into productive dialogue. The question is the curriculum. The field is the classroom.

Program Duration
