SoA+D co-hosts Asia-Link Design Workshop 2020 with KMUTT’s partner universities

The School of Architecture and Design, KMUTT hosted Asia-Link Design Workshop with partner universities. It aimed at allowing the participants to extend their knowledge in design methodology and process, and get involved in cultural-related projects.   

Mr. Pattarapol Chantkam (lecturer in Industrial Design program and project leader), along with instructors from Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), Japan, and Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), provided both non-Thai and Thai participants workshops on “Street Food” and field trips. The international workshop was focused on “Street Food”. Based from the topic, the students got challenging tasks such as how to maintain the charm of Thailand’s street food while trying to solve the current problems, what would be the future of street food in the next 5 to 10 years and how technology can improve street food without losing its charm and identities. Finally, the participants learned and shared their ideas with foreign peers. The workshop was held on 4-11 February 2020 at KMUTT Knowledge Exchange for Innovation Center (KX), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
