SoA+D DISCUSSES POTENTIAL FUTURE COLLABORATION with SAINT-GOBAIN

On 28th January 2020, Dr. Acharawan Chutarat, Chairperson of Architecture program along with the faculty members welcomed the guests from Saint-Gobain, a world leading company to provide high-performance materials and solutions for sustainable building, based in France (led by Mr. Yeshwanth Narendar, Director of Global Saint-Gobain Research Center and representatives of Saint-Gobain in Thailand branch). This meeting was aimed to discuss the potential future collaboration especially provision of support in building science research in Architecture.

The representatives of SoA+D presented school information such as SoA+D’s research, current works with Borklua School in Naan (Project owner: HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Personal Affairs Division), Pang-Nga old town area, and Work Integrated Learning (W.I.L) and research. Furthermore, they also discussed possible future collaboration which would focus on construction materials. The guests were given a tour around SoA+D building and visited the SoA+D’s Open House, design studios and some of school’s facilities.
