SoA+D hosts international design workshop with GIZ and BISCAST

The School of Architecture and Design, KMUTT hosted the international design workshop on “Microarchitecture” which was held on January 19 – 26, 2019 in collaboration with Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), Philippines and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ ), Germany.

Dr. Martin Schoch, lecturer in Architecture program and project leader, gathered the students from both institutions to join the workshop at SoA+D studio. Students were tasked to design a 6-storey building as part of the Social Housing Project. They also presented their work to the representatives of the National Housing Authority in Thailand, and GIZ at the Knowledge Exchange for Innovation Center (KX Building). The project was put up as mutual participation of KMUTT and Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), supported by the German Organization for International Cooperation (with GIZ’s representative and adviser, Mr. Werner Haberzettl).
