SoA+D Joins SDI Campus Asia Workshop 2025 at Yonsei University
The School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) has continuously participated in the SDI Workshop, both inbound and outbound, since 2022. This year marked SoA+D’s 12th participation in the series, reaffirming its commitment to real-world, socially impactful design education.
For the SDI Campus Asia Workshop 2025, held from August 7–14, 2025, at Yonsei University in Seoul and Wonju, South Korea, six students—three from Architecture and three from Communication Design—represented SoA+D. They were accompanied by Mr. Geoffrey Brewerton and Asst. Prof. Karuna Kleubmongkol.
Organized in collaboration with KORAIL, the workshop was held under the theme: “Revitalizing Abandoned Train Stations as Community Hubs: Designing the Future while Honoring the Past.”
Participants worked alongside international peers to learn, brainstorm, and propose socially innovative design ideas through hands-on practice. The workshop encouraged students to explore how forgotten railway spaces could be repurposed as vibrant community hubs—blending heritage preservation with modern societal needs.
