The School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), continues its long-standing academic collaboration with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore, through the Overseas Immersion Program 2025.

The three-week program brings NAFA students to Thailand to explore traditional Thai crafts through hands-on workshops and cultural immersion. Students learn directly from local artisans and master craftsmen while gaining insight into the cultural contexts behind Thailand’s craft heritage.

The program is led by the Social and Cultural Innovation Lab (S/C/I), SoA+D, KMUTT, and includes workshops on indigo dyeing, natural-dyed textile weaving, broom making, and bamboo weaving.

This year marks the seventh edition of the Overseas Immersion Program, reflecting the strong partnership and continued trust between SoA+D, KMUTT, and NAFA.
