SoA+D Lead Workshops for Bangkok Bank’s “Colorful Community Forest” Design Competition

On Saturday, May 23, Bangkok Bank hosted a Project Brief and workshop to equip students and designers with essential skills for the “Colorful Community Forest” design competition. The project focuses on creating a sustainable nature trail for the Ban Tham Suea Community Forest in Phetchaburi province.

Following the opening remarks and site introduction by Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool (SEVP, Bangkok Bank), faculty members from KMUTT’s School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) led insightful lectures and hands-on workshops:
– Dr. Acharawan Chutarat presented on SDG and Sustainable Design.
– Aj. Kiatkamol Nilapornkul discussed Ecosystem Services and Nature-based Planning.
– Aj. Pootan Chanchai covered Site Analysis & Design Considerations.

Participants also received expert advice from Mr. Mangkon Chaicharoenmaitri, President of the Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA).
