On 23-24 November 2019, the School of Architecture and Design of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi organized a magnificent cultural trip for international students (in exchange and regular programs) to Ayutthaya, one of UNESCO’s World’s Heritage Sites. The trip started with a visit at Wat Mahathat and Ayutthaya Historical Park, which mark Thailand’s historical legends. They also enjoyed carp weaving, which is one of Thai local wisdom.
In addition, the foreign students also shared their experiences gained from exchange program in the first semester. On their way to Bangkok, the participants visited Ayutthaya Floating Market which attracts tourists with its stunning architecture, unique culture and tradition, authentic amusement, folk performance, and simple lifestyles of Thais. The cultural trip was considered as one of the Thai-culture-enriched activities regularly organized for international students to learn and appreciate the Thai culture and heritage at a greater extent.
