KMEA x KMUTT International Architecture and Urban Design Workshop 2026 was held from August 18–22, 2026, at the School of Architecture and Design, KMUTT, Bangkok, Thailand.
This is the 2nd year of our International Architecture and Urban Design Workshop between KMEA College of Architecture (KCOA) Ernakulam, India and KMUTT School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), Thailand. There were two instructors and 35 students from KMEA, along with one instructor and 20 students from KMUTT, who participated in the workshop. The theme of this year’s workshop is “Exploring Bangkok and Kochi’s Heritage with Adaptive Re-Use and Creative City Framework”, with Bangkok Railway Station or Hua Lamphong, serving as the site for reimagination and redevelopment.
The recent workshop established an initial academic relationship between the two institutions, strengthened the international academic collaboration and provided an opportunity for students to exchange ideas and experiences with other foreign students within the region. It concluded with a final presentation and farewell party at the Bang Khun Thian campus of KMUTT. It was a great memorable time and experience for the students and staff who joined us. Looking forward to the next collaboration!!!
