Future Entrepreneur Challenge by MIDI
A Hands-On Workshop by SoA+D and Weekend University
What does it actually take to turn an idea into a real product? In this two-day intensive workshop, students will step into the shoes of an entrepreneur — moving from a blank page to a pitchable prototype, using design thinking and rapid fabrication as their tools.
Guided by mentors from the MIDI program, participants will begin by identifying real problems worth solving, then move through ideation and proof-of-concept development. From there, students will fabricate a working prototype of their solution, before learning the branding and marketing fundamentals needed to package it for the real world. The workshop closes with a live pitch session, where each participant presents their product to the marketplace — proving that great ideas only matter once you’ve built something to back them up.
No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to build.
