“The project aims to motivate and promote creativity of the craftsmanship. So that the craftsmen could develop products and increase productivity. The weaving tool provides them an opportunity to add more values, balance workload and earn more income. The project started from examining on the method of baskets weaving mold but changing the parts of assembly into different forms. In this comprehensive project, the designer attempts to develop the weaving tool in a more examined and alternative way. Creating the identity for Kai Noi village can make their products moreiconic to unique in this kind of basketry made by Kai Noi villagers only.”
