The Five East Asian Universities Urban and Architecture Design Workshop 2023, an outbound workshop held in Guanshan town (Taitung, Taiwan) between 31 July – 11 August 2023, was hosted by the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.
Following the currently established MoU between SoA+D and four East Asian universities, the annual student workshop and academic partnership were agreed upon by all parties. The recent workshop in Guanshan town, a charming mountain village in the east of Taiwan, aimed to develop the academic relationship with partner universities and strengthen the international orientation of SoA+D and its programs.
With the better situation this year, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) hosted the Five East Asian Universities Urban and Architecture Design Workshop 2023. Asst. Prof. Kisnaphol Wattanawanyoo, Chairperson of Architecture program, led a group of ARC students to join the workshop trip to Guanshan town in Taitung, Taiwan. They had the chance to share their ideas on the town’s architectural development and strategies for attracting more visitors to the area, which may have a beneficial economic impact to the local community.
